Nollywood actress cum singer Stella Damasus expresses her anger over the issue of underaged marriage being discussed in the Nigerian senate.

In this video, Stella Damasus condems Senator Ahmed Sani Yerima who allegedly married a 13-yr old Egyptian girl in 2010.

Do you support Stella Damasus initiative to encouraging women in power and celebrities to make their voices be heard on the issue of Child Marriage in Nigeria? Share your opinion on the matter using the comment box below.

UPDATE: We later discovered that Stella Damasus misinformed the mass with the idea that the Nigerian Senate were discussing the legalizing of Child Marriage in the country. However, the senate has on so many occasions clarified that the issue being discussed then was about conditions for renouncing citizenship and not child marriage. One could only wonder where Stella Damasus got the misinformation from[?]. Her video has received lots of criticism with some blaming her for seeking cheap fame instead of understanding the matter on the ground before publicly voicing her opinion.

the government of Nigeria is going mad i believe because i cannot see persons with an education, position and understanding etc will approve such nonsense, ungodly, shameful and ugly thing like this. They make the enemies corrupt and blind them from the right way, its hard to believe people with such power and position would approve to such wickedness towards innocent children children we are talking about here but its the last days my friends we just have to be strong and pray for our friends and family.
