    Nollywood star actress Stephanie Okereke-Idahosa, whom turned 32 years of age yesterday (October 2nd), was on her birthday surprised by her darling husband Linus Idahosa with a *Surprise Birthday Party*. See photos below.

    "It turned out that a surprise party was arranged, spearheaded by my wonderful husband (heehee!). It was so beautiful because I wasn’t expecting anything, except a night out with him. So when I saw people arriving with gifts and merriment I was elated. Like everything else that he does, it was perfect! *Thank you, darling* Kiss."

  • Nollywood's Stephanie Okereke Marries Her Heartthrob Linus Today in Paris

    Nollywood star actress, Stephanie Okereke and her fiance Linus Idahosa, are in Paris today for their marriage. Their wedding is currently taking place at the Abbay des Vaux de Cernay Hotel, in Northern France.

    Richard Mofe Damijo, Genevieve Nnaji, Uche Jombo, Lilian Bach, Ndidi Okereke-Onyiuke, Azuh Amatus are among the delegates from Nollywood gracing Stephanie Okereke's white wedding of actress.

    Other Nollywood stars that were in the guest list include Ini Edo, Monalisa  Chinda, Emem Isong and Kanayo O.Kanayo. Idahosa’s friends and associates in high places are also attending the wedding. Ejike Asiegbu, according to inside source, couldn’t make the trip because of his sister’s health condition.

    Information reaching Nigeria Movie Network indicates that President Goodluck Jonathan is likely to grace the historic wedding with his wife and large entourage.

    According to sources, Stephanie and her fiancee left for Paris early in the week to ensure things are put in place for the big day.

    We learnt via Vanguard newspaper that Arik Air donated a chartered flight to convey those attending the wedding for FREE. Air France also provided seats to invited guests at discounted tickets.

    The multiple award winning actress and filmmaker, who recently bagged the Member of the Federal Republic(MFR) national honour said “it is an intimate wedding.”

  • STAR ACTRESS STEPHANIE OKEREKE SET TO WED APRIL 21

    After several months of speculation from fans and friends, one of the best kept secrets in Nollywood is finally out. Star actress, Stephanie Okereke is set to marry her fiance, Linus Idahosa in Paris on April 14.



    The star actress has been playing a cat and mouse game with the press over the actual date of her wedding, but it seems the game is finally up. According to reports, invitations for the wedding are currently making the rounds in Nollywood.

    According to PeaceFM, sources say the venue for the wedding could be in Paris, France and is expected to attract A-list celebrities from Nigeria, Ghana and other parts of the world.

    Stephanie, who emerged first runner-up at the 2002 edition of the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant, accepted her fiancé’s, who co-owns and runs Del York International, proposal during her 28th birthday in 2010.

    Preparations for the wedding have already started with the actress calling her exclusive guest to find out where their invitations should be sent to.

    This will not be the first the bubbly actress will be taken to the altar. She was married to a former Super Eagles footballer, Chikelue IIoenuosi, in August 2004 but that marriage was officially dissolved in January 2007.

    Arguably one of Nollywood and Africa’s finest actresses, Imo State born Stephanie started acting at an early age appearing in two movies, Compromise 2 and Waterloo in 1997.

    Starring in over 100 movies, she became a household name with her acting prowess. Some of her works include, Strength of a Woman, Virgin’s Night Out, Lonely Hearts, Hidden Treasure, and Daytime Lovers.

    Stephanie has in her bag several endorsement deals including an ambassador for LG and Kanekalon hair.

    She received Best Actress in a Leading Role nominations at the 2005, 2009 and 2010 edition of the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAAs). In 2003, Stephanie won the Reel Award for Best Actress, Afro Hollywood Awards’ Best Actress in 2006 and a host of others.

    The sixth of eight children, Stephanie received a national honour, Member of the Federal Republic by Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan.

  • Stephanie Okereke Says She's Not Getting Married In February

    Following speculations about her upcoming wedding and the annulment of her ex-marriage, Nollywood star actress, Stephanie Okereke has come out to clear the air regarding her anticipated marriage.


    In a recent interview with YNaija Magazine, Stephanie Okereke says she’s not getting married to Linus Idahosa in February. "I’m not getting married in February, very untrue, please tell them." However, she made no comment when asked if the upcoming wedding will take place in Paris as reported.

    The actress also revealed that her marriage to Super Eagles player Chikelue Iloanusi was never valid as we previously reported few days ago. ‘I sought for annulment and I got it. I never sought for divorce. The court cannot grant annulment unless I had proof. The case has been on since 2007 and been dragging because of our court system.’

    There was also additional report from the judge who was on the case. According to him, ‘the marriage never existed and couldn’t have been valid as Iloanusi was married to another woman in the US at the time he wedded Okereke.’

    The short interview with Stephanie Okereke by YNaija is shared below:

    YNaija: What’s really the story with your dissolved marriage?

    Stephanie Okereke: Story is misconstrued as usual, but I’m not bothered abeg. At least I’m not going to be referred to as a divorce or ex-Mrs…. (Laughter) The better for me jare.

    YNaija: What happened exactly?

    Stephanie Okereke: I sought for annulment and I got it. I never sought for divorce. It was an annulment. He was married to someone abroad so with that evidence I was able to seek for annulment. The court cannot grant annulment unless I had proof. The case has been on since 2007 and been dragging because of our court system. Our journalists just like mediocrity!

    YNaija: Where is he now?

    Stephanie Okereke: I don’t know where he’s been. He doesn’t have to be there, so.

    YNaija: We hear wedding bells are ringing for February?

    Stephanie Okereke: Again, another media story! I’m not getting married in February. Very untrue, please tell them.

    YNaija: Whenever it is, will it be in Paris as reported?

    Stephanie Okereke: (Laughter) No comment!

  • Stephanie Okereke's first marriage not valid, Lagos court confirms

    A high court in Lagos has rendered the first marriage of star actress Stephanie Okereke to footballer Chikelue Iloanusi, null and void. The judge told the actress who had gone to court to divorce Chikelu, that the marriage never existed, so she can’t seek a divorce, only an annulment. According to the judge, the marriage between Stephanie and Chikelue wasn’t valid because at the time they got married, Chikelu was legally married to another woman in the US.

    Stephanie and Chikelue had a secret registry wedding some years back but they broke up less than a year later. Now going from the court’s judgement, Stephanie is not Chikelue’s ex-wife, she was never legally married to him. So when she marries Linus Idahosa, it will be her first legal marriage.
