    Here's how Africa Magic reported the Nominees announcement party few days ago:  

    On Monday night (28 January), watched by audiences in 47 African countries, the nominees for the first-ever AfricaMagic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs) were revealed during a special edition of lifestyle program 53 Extra. Held in association with MultiChoice, and headline sponsor Amstel Malta, the AMVCAs recognizes and rewards excellence in African film and TV.

  • Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards Nominees List (NOLLYWOOD)

    Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards Nominees List. Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards was created to celebrate African film and television talent, both in front of and behind the cameras. The AfricaMagic Viewers' Choice Awards features several special categories in which viewers will decide the winners directly, alongside several professionally judged categories.



    In total, 28 awards in 26 categories will be awarded ranging from acting and directing to script-writing and cinematography. Other fields  honored include editing, make-up, sound, lighting and costuming among others. In addition the awards will feature two categories destined to become annual talking points – the Industry Merit Award and the Trailblazer of the Year Award.

    One of Nollywood's prominent actress and definitely the most loved Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson, has emerged the new face of Nigeria Movie Network (NMN) Facebook Page for the month of October.




    Mercy Johnson is no doubt one of the most talked about Nollywood actress today. She is beautiful, fierce, talented, and fans favorite.


    The Nollywood contest for the new face of Nigeria Movie Network FB Page for the month of October started off from the following announcement/post on Monday October 1st (Nigeria's 52nd Independence):



    Hey peeps, it's a new month and you know Nigeria Movie Network FB Page needs a new face to replace Van Vicker for the month of October.

    Among the hundreds of Nollywood actors and actresses, who would you like to see represent Nigeria Movie Network FB page this new month?


    On this day, many Nollywood fans casts their votes for their favorite Nollywood icon accordingly, but on October 3rd of the month, the real contest rolled out when Nigeria Movie Network posted the following on their FB Page:
