Segun Arinze is my friend, but the board of AGN must be brought down -Emeka Ike

The story quoted Emeka as saying that he’ll deal with Segun Arinze.
Today, we spoke with both Emeka Ike and Segun Arinze. But first here is what Emeka told Live Online With Delia.
“I don’t have problem with Segun [Arinze], he is my friend and I don’t have problem with him. Who I have problem with are members of the board of trustee, who have packaged it and make it look like Emeka Ike is having problem with Segun Arinze.
“Segun is my friend, but the board of trustee must be brought down. They must be crumbled. That is the only way the market and the entire Nigerian movie industry can make it in Nigeria. They have abused the power given them in the industry and the only way to get them out of the office is by legally forcing them out, and that is why I went to court. So it has nothing to do with Segun Arinze.

“Integrity aside, the people I’m fighting with are members of the board of trustee. I want them out. I want them crumbled. I want the AGN renewed.
“The court issue has been there, but I don’t want to raise it up. The board of trustee members is full of lies, deceiving the people. They could not even come out to say Emeka Ike did this or did that.
“The thing is that it’s not everybody that can say this to them or challenge them. Some of them know the truth, but will not say a word for fear of losing the stardom they have, but I don’t care.
The election was supposed to be on the 23rd and 24th of November 2011. The court session was on Monday before that date and the judge made the judgment of the court clear, that everybody should stay where they are.
“If they still went ahead with the election, then that is illegal. In Nigeria, some minds are still working like ministry even though they are civilians. We have democracy, but some people still behave like we have dictatorship.
“The court has said no election. Every newspaper carried the news, so if they go ahead to do the election, that will tell you how much they despise the law. They said they want peace. My question is, “does peace mean breaching the right of a commoner? Isn’t peace about taking the decision to do the right thing? I don’t know the kind of peace they want to achieve by not obeying the law. This is my position in democracy, fighting for what is right.
Stay tuned to know what Segun Arinze has to say about this issue.
