Nollywood actor, Desmond Elliot, to dive into Nigerian politics

Nollywood news making rounds lately is that of Desmond Elliot, whom the Nigeria Movie Network team gathered, would be going into Nigerian politics as an agent of change and intends to contest in the 2015 general elections.

Nollywood actor, Desmond Elliot, to dive into Nigerian politics


According to recent reports by DailyStarNG, Desmond Elliot said many things were going wrong in the society, and it must be changed. The Nollywood actor cum filmmaker has as a result declared that, he would be vying for a seat in the House of Representative.

DailyStarNG further reported that Mr. Elliot declared his interest for the Surulere constituency and hopefully under a Governorship aspirant, Jimi Ajegbe of Labour Party. However, contrary reports by NigeriaFilms says Desmond Elliot is yet to join any Labour Party, but he truly has political ambitions in the 2015 general elections.

"Desmond has not joined the Labour Party, forget about the news reports flying around on the internet. He's yet to declare which party to make his dream come true in 2015," a source told Nigeriafilms

Other Nollywood actors who have ventured into politics include Richard Mofe Damijo, Tony One Week and recently, Jibola Dabo was reported to be testing the waters of Nigerian politics and would be contesting for House of Reps in 2015.
