Nollywood actress Uche Jombo-Rodriguez was recently a victim of false rumor, with some asserting that the actress did plastic surgery on her nose and face. Well, Uche Jombo have debunked such rumours.
Below is a photo we put together, showing Mrs Uche Jombo Rodriguez response to the rumour monger on Twitter.
The false rumor must be due to the fact that Uche Jombo has been spending more time in the US lately since her marriage to her American husband, Kenny Rodriguez. As you may have heard, Uche Jombo recently applied for her American drivers license, but heard to do some visual eye examination which is a common requirement in the US.
Do you have any supporting comments for Uche Jombo? or a word against the rumor mongers spreading false information about the Nollywood actress getting a nose and face job? We'd love to hear your opinion below. Read more »
A week ago, news media was buzzing with rumours of Big Brother Winner Karen Igho shunning a Miss DEE magazine cover photo-shoot because she did not want to appear on the mag’s cover with former BBA housemate from Zimbabwe, Vimbai Mutinhiri.
But Karen has come out to say she was ‘misrepresented’ and that she never turned down the offer because of Vimbai.
In a statement made available by her representatives, Karen admits she was indeed approached by the magazine’s publisher to take part in a photoshoot back in September 2011, a month after she won BBA 7. But Karen says her team and the publisher could not reach an agreement on when the shoot should take place.
READ STATEMENT BELOW
This press statement is a re-joinder on a press release from last week, allegedly representative of Vimbai Mutinhiri (former BBA housemate from Zimbabwe) views on the viral social media story– which suggests that the effervescence Ms Karen Igho, deliberately refused to be part of a photo shoot session with her for ‘Miss Dee’ magazine.
While this release frowns on any form of ‘SHE SAID, HE SAID’ controversy, Ms Karen’s love for her ever supportive fans and media friends made her request that her position be made public.
Ms Igho was approached in Abuja on the 4th September, 2011 by the publisher of Miss Dee magazine at a casual meet, to participate in a photo shoot for the magazine, but no exact time was proposed. Because at the time Ms Karen was preoccupied with spending quality time with her family in Jos; more so as she had just returned from the BigBrother Africa house and needed a relief from the Amplified euphoria.
However, Ms Karen recently got a call with respect to the photo shoot, but for her engagement with her friend, Mr Denrele Edun on the ‘Heavy Beauty’ movie production set she could have gladly obliged. Hence, it is not practical that Ms Igho who was on a movie set in Lagos refused or walked away from being part of a photo shoot session with Vimbai in Abuja. Ms Karen has being in frequent communication with housemates, even proven with the time spent with Millicent (Kenya) when she came to Nigeria in spite of the ‘House’ confrontations between both during the BBA game episode.
To further reinforce Ms Karen Igho’s friendly disposition to her fellow housemates from BBA Amplified; Ms Karen had begun sending out official invites to WENDALL PARSON (Zimbabwe), LUCLAY ‘MR OTONO’ (S/Africa), WEZA SOLANGE (Angola), LOMWE (Malawi), MUMBA MWAKWA (Zambia), BERNADINA BUYS (Nambia) and their country counterparts in the BBA house in anticipation of a reunion party in Nigeria towards her April 6th birth date celebration.
The weekend activity will feature the launch of Ms Karen’s T-shirt line, a BBA housemates’ media tour, charity visits to orphanage homes and the media launch of her upcoming reality TV shoot (details will be made explicit in a release towards the event date).
It is Ms Karen’s view that if Vimbai has something to say to her friend, Mr Denrele Edun it’s best done through inter-personal communication and she frowns at any insinuation of ‘war’ with anyone, as in the words of the Destiny Child’s song ‘Survivor’ Miss Karen is better than that. Finally, we like to empathize with ‘Miss Dee’ magazine and request that the media please redirect their channel of inquiry.
Media was awash with reports of Ghanaian actress selling fake designer items in her boutique. The actress who had ignored the reports when she first read the reports has had a change of mind after a TV station reported the news with reaching her.
According to the actress, I believe the persons behind these stories have other plans and the massive media impression they keep on building makes me suspect they want to give my fashion shop a bad reputation just to collapse my business for reasons best known to them.
Yvonne Nelson said she’s shocked because she does not even sell Louis Vuitton (LV) or Gucci Products currently.
Any person who has been to my shop can testify to what am saying.
Currently, I don’t even have more than5 bags in my shop. And All my bags are Aldo and they are sold out, Yvonne also noted.
She went on to explained further;“Ask other persons who sell designer stuff and they would tell you that most people will not like to buy $3000 LV bags if brought them here or $5000 Chanel bag.
Yvonne Nelson said that when she buy such stuffs outside, she use them for her personal use and don’t come out making branded fake news and ads about my shop contents and qualities, as other brands do in their websites.
Yvonne also noted that she only tweet that picture of her personal bags. People can come and check them out and also check LV website and let see the difference.
"There's absolutely nothing going on between D'Banj and I," Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari told reporters during a chat last week. "I have no idea where that rumour started from. A lot of things have been written about me over the years that are not true, and this is one of them."
In a previous statement, Popular Ghanaian actress, Nadia Buari, says she takes it as an honour that Nigerian singer D’banj mentioned her name as part of a celebrity list on his latest song titled "Oliver Twist".
“If D’banj mentions me along with celebrity names such as Beyonce, Rihanna, Omotola and Genevive, I take it as an honour”, Nadia told Showbiz last Saturday.
Asked whether she liked eating gari as D’Banj says in his song, Nadia laughed loudly and said, “I love the song but as to whether I drink gari or not I will like to keep it a secret” Nadia said good humouredly. “I believe, however, that D’banj just used gari to rhyme with my name Buari”.
Nadia who received two nominations for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the African Movie Academy Awards in 2007 and 2009 and has been nominated as Best Actress In A Supporting Role (English Language) in the 2011 Ghana Movie Awards, revealed that, among all the movies she has played in, she hasn’t seen her best yet. “Among all the movies I have shot, I can’t really choose a particular movie that I love so much. I believe there is an improvement in every movie I have featured”, she said..
I read a report on one of Ghana's celebrity blog that the actress was spotted some weeks ago (precisely on Friday-Saturday, October 14,15 2011) at the crooner’s house where she spent the weekend and paraded herself in a sexy night attire.
Other sources also confirm that the two have been an item long before now and have been spotted many times together in Ghana as well.
Whether or not Nadia is hiding her affair with the Kokomaster himself from the press, I believe sooner or later more gist on their relationship will unveil. I trust D'banj, he likes to talk about who he is dating "Lol", Na so ooo...
Super star actresses, Genevieve Nnaji & Stephanie Okereke "the Nollywood big girls" have debunk stories of alleged feud as the two spent a good part of last night tweeting at each other about how they had fun in the week, and how they can't believe the press could suggest they were enemies. They even shared the above picture of their time out together. If you miss the story about the alleged feud, click here to read it.
There is no doubt that the make-believe section of the razzmatazz industry in Nigeria is greatly blessed with beauty queens that could make any man drop his last penny on them.
The sector has produced different types of skin colours you could be proud of and otherwise. We have the half castes, the naturally light skinned born beaus and also the otherwise. It is also blessed with the naturally dark and lovely queens, chocolaty screen idols and others one can think of, except the albinos for now.
In all these, most of the Nollywood female thespians are always in dire need by the men, who want to get down with them at all cost, both in home and away matches.
According to information available to Osaremen Ehi James (Not NMN), some of these Nollywood acts engage in this highly profitable business for the fun of it. We learnt that their charges ranges from $10,000 and $20,000, depending on their bargaining powers or by the agents involved. We learnt that some of them travel out of the country on the pretence of attending award shows or one outside functions to cash in more spendable papers into their accounts.
As we scooped, this actress, who is light skinned and likes to be happy being controversial, is said to love this trade with all her heart. She is said to charge between $15,000 and $20,000. Her preferred stadium to her play match is one high ranked public house located in one 5 star areas of Lagos State. This thespian has also taken her trade outside of Nigeria, where she has good clients who pay well for the koko. She is from one of the states across the Niger Bridge.
Also in this trade is this actress that has successfully brought big players in the entertainment industry to one of the films she acted in. According to sources, she started this cool business by charging about $3,000 but now prefers to charge $10,000 because as we learnt, she is now a superstar in the film industry. She is also in the habit of fighting for being called Aunty by some of her colleagues in the industry, and in the habit of giving good nods to bananas of fine boys she works with on location free of charge, especially for those she approaches by herself.
Another tycoon in the sporting lady work is this popular role interpreter that was once romantically linked with a former presidential aspirant in Nigeria. She was also reportedly linked with a hot romance with a point guru. According to what we were told, this Africa representer, who been on location in one of the East African countries, has her bill ranging from $15,000 to $20,000, just as her compared model in the play acting industry in one of the Oyinbo countries. Her clients are now mainly from across the seas
Also in this fancy women trade is this top actress that has kids with her hubby having a job that most women would fast and pray their heartthrobs have. She is from one of the states under the Niger Delta Development Commission’s (NDDC) radars. As we leant, she is hot and satisfies her clients very well. She is said to be the one that prefers to be on top and not the other way round. She is reported to take close to $20,000 for her services, which most of her clients are always happy to part with.
This thespian, as we were informed, is a one that has something on her b**bs, she is also a mother like the last one described above. What is funny about this one is that she prefers to go local, especially with those in the centre of excellence. Her fees are not really on the high side, as she is believed to just like to be serviced regularly. She charges as low as $2,000 for a round of fight on the bed.
Another participant in this business is this yellow pawpaw babe that is not too tall. She used to always act roles with this fine boy dude in Nollywood. She is really sexy and can melt any man that dares stare at her. As we gathered, her charges are from $10,000 to $15,000. She is said to like to decides what stadium her match be played, but prefer to play away matches on stadiums like Nou Camp.
